This qualification provides a comprehensive curriculum covering essential office skills essential for success in the modern workplace.
Overview
Each session includes hands-on activities designed to reinforce learning and facilitate practical application of the skills acquired. Participants will have the opportunity to practice using Microsoft Office applications and other tools, allowing them to build confidence and proficiency.
This course is designed to address the key basic skills necessary for working or volunteering in an office environment. Whether you are starting your career, seeking to advance professionally, or looking to transition into an office-based role, this course will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s office environment.
By completing this course, you will learn to:
- Gain an understanding of using and answering phones
- Learn how to plan and develop business documents
- Develop effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Develop a sound understanding of the daily operations of an office

Our Pre-Accredited and Neighbourhood House Programs incur an annual registration fee of $10. All participants must pay this annual, non-refundable registration fee upon enrolment into their first program for the calendar year. This includes hobby programs and social groups. This fee will be charged once per calendar year.
FUNDED FEE ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for a full funded place in these courses you must be:
- an Australian or New Zealand citizen or
- a holder of an Australian permanent visa or
- an Asylum seeker holding a valid visa that confers eligibility for Skills First training
CONCESSION FEE ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for a concession fee, a valid concession card showing the name of the person enrolling in the course must be provided at the time of enrolment. FLC may request a copy of the card at the time of enrolment. Concession is applied at the time of enrolment and cannot be applied partway through the course.
