The Certificate II in Retail Services is designed to equip students with the essential skills, knowledge, and attitude required to thrive in a retail workplace setting. ADULT LEARNERS
PRE-TRAINING REVIEW
All prospective adult students are subject to a pre-enrolment interview to determine suitability for the course.
VETDSS
PRE-TRAINING REVIEW
Suitability for this course is confirmed by the students home school as part of the school‑based VETDSS process. A separate pre‑training interview with Foundation Learning Centre is not required.
Adult Learners
Full time, 12 months duration.

This course is delivered over the course of 2 school years, 1 day per week.
Students completing this course can continue on to SIR30212 Certificate II in Retail Operations, further study in other areas of Retail or undertake work within a retail environment.
This general qualification is designed to develop the knowledge and skills to get you ready for work within a professional business environment. Career pathways could include:
- Retail Assistant
- Cashier
- Customer Service Assistant

The delivery mode for all courses at Foundation Learning Centre is via face-to-face and a mix of flexible remote or online learning. Face-to-face is delivered onsite at Foundation Learning Centre campuses. Student tuition and materials fees as published are subject to change given an individuals circumstances at enrolment. To be eligible for a concession amount, a valid concession card must be produced at the time of enrolment. FLC’s online service standards are located on our website.
