Emergency Grocery Support
Many families are struggling to afford basic groceries, leaving our young people without nutritious meals, fresh food, or essential personal care items. Hunger doesn’t just affect their health — it affects their ability to focus, learn, and thrive at school. A essential food hamper for families facing significant hardship can be the difference between an empty stomach and a healthy family meal.
Food At School Program
Many of our young people arrive at school hungry, or experience hunger across the day — not by choice, but because they don’t have access to a nutritious breakfast or filling lunch. Hunger makes it harder to learn, focus, and succeed. This program provides students with access to lunch options, fresh fruit, and snacks throughout their school day — giving them the fuel they need to thrive.
Resources & Student Fee Grants
Help us bring learning to life — through inspiring guest speakers, excursions, incursions, and creative classroom activities that keep students engaged and motivated and just as importantly, create welcoming, well-equipped learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and supported. By offering financial grants for course fees, we remove a major barrier — ensuring students can pursue their goals with confidence, not be held back by financial hardship.

Tal & the team at Majestic Computer Technology are FLC partners.
Tal and Majestic have supported FLC and our students in a number of ways since developing a partnership, including the funding of a term-long breakfast program and donations of much-needed resources.
Foundation Learning Centre (FLC) is a true gem in our communities – supporting learners of all ages with compassion, resilience, and a whole lot of heart. Their dedication to education and inclusion inspires us every day, and we’re genuinely proud to call them a partner.
When a flood threw a wrench into students’ routines, we didn’t just fix the tech – we rolled up our sleeves and got stuck in. From relocating equipment to brainstorming creative ways to lend a hand, our team was there to help FLC keep doing what they do best: empowering people through learning.
This partnership is built on shared values, mutual respect, and a genuine belief in the incredible work FLC does. We’re lucky to play a small part in their big mission – and today, that meant helping spruce up their campus break-out spaces with some fresh café tables and stools (because learning deserves a comfy seat and a good vibe!).
We’d love to see more businesses get behind FLC and support the alternative education pathways that have already changed so many lives, and will continue to shape many more.

Kenneth’s Story
Kenneth was a recipient of an FLC Course Fee Scholarship.
Kenneth faced many challenges in school and soon realized he needed a new way to learn, one that better suited his needs. After some research, Kenneth and his family discovered FLC. Its flexible and inclusive approach to learning, combined with onsite wellbeing support and small class sizes, felt like the perfect fit. In 2019, Kenneth began his journey with us, enrolling in our Year 9 alternative program — a fresh start full of hope and possibility.
Kenneth quickly discovered that FLC was the change he had been hoping for, describing it as ‘the best thing that ever happened.’ It wasn’t just the alternative learning environment that helped him thrive — it was the people. He often reflects on how the warmth and support of the educators and his peers made him feel truly welcome. With a renewed dedication to his studies and a hopeful outlook for the future, Kenneth’s efforts were recognised at the end of 2019 when he was awarded a fee grant scholarship to support his education through Years 10, 11 and 12.
For Kenneth’s family, the scholarship was a true blessing — not only were they incredibly proud of his achievements and the recognition he had earned, but they were also deeply grateful for the financial relief it provided during a pivotal time in his education.
Kenneth successfully achieved his academic goals, completing his Year 12 in 2022. Since graduating, he has remained committed to working hard and building his future. Kenneth also continues to stay connected with the FLC community, often dropping by to visit staff and generously volunteering his time at fundraisers.
